Enfield, Multiple roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

EATON ROAD EN1 – 4552

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Gas Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 29 July 2025 for 12 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be:

To close this road from the western flank wall of No.59 Southbury Road to No. 2/4 Eaton Road. Whilst this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.

FORE STREET N18 – 4555

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

Between 20:00 hours and 23:00 hours on 29 July 2025 for 1 night or until works are completed.

*NOTE: [This notice supersedes the notice of the same title published on 30 July 2025 which contained typographical errors which have now been corrected.]

The general effect of the Order will be to:

• Suspend parking on both sides of Fore Street N18 between its junction with Fairfield Road and the A406 North Circular Road N18; and

• Suspend the southbound bus lane from outside No.234 Fore Street to its junction with the A406 North Circular Road N18

TOTTENHALL ROAD N13 – 4558

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Gas Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 31 July 2025 for 7 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

Suspend parking from its junction with Melville Gardens to outside a point in line with the common boundary of Nos. 135/137 Tottenhall Road, on both sides of the carriageway

DUCK LEES LANE, GILDA AVENUE EN3 – 4559

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 2 August 2025 for 11 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

Gilda Avenue

• Suspend parking at its junction with Duck Lees Lane on both sides of the carriageway for approximately 30m in both directions; and

  Duck Lees Lane

• Suspend parking at its junction with Gilda Avenue on both sides of the carriageway for approximately 30m in both directions

ORDNANCE ROAD EN3 – 4560

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Railway Works

Operational Date and times:

22:45 hours on 4 August 2025 to 05:30 hours on 5 August 2025 or until works are completed

The general effect of the Order will be:

To close this road, from its junction with Ferndale Road to a point 20 metres east of the railway crossing. Whilst this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.

BROOKFIELD ROAD N9 – 4561

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Gas Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 4 August 2025 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be:

To suspend parking on Brookfield Road N9 between Felixstowe Road and Brook Crescent.

BROWNLOW ROAD, YORK ROAD, GORING ROAD N11 – 4562

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Highway Works

Operational Date and times:

20:00 hours on 4 August 2025 until 05:00 hours on 5 August 2025 or until works are completed

The general effect of the Order will be to:

Brownlow Road N11

• Close this road and suspend parking on both sides of the carriageway, from a point outside the southern flank wall of No.36 Brownlow Road to outside the common boundary of Nos.82/84 Brownlow Road; and

  York Road N11

• Close this road and suspend parking on both sides of the carriageway, from its junction with Brownlow Road, westwards for approximately 30 metres.

  Goring Road N11

• Close this road and suspend parking on both sides of the carriageway, from its junction with Brownlow Road, eastwards for approximately 30 metres.

  Whilst these roads are closed local diversions will be in place.

BROWNING ROAD, LANCASTER ROAD EN2 – 4563

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 4 August 2025 for 7 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

Browning Road EN2

• Close this road at its junction with Lancaster Road for approximately 20m north; and

  Lancaster Road EN2

• Suspend parking from outside Nos. 97-109.

  Whilst these roads are closed local diversions will be in operation.

HERTFORD ROAD, ORCHARD ROAD, NORTHFIELD ROAD, SOUTHFIELD ROAD EN3 – 4564

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 4 August 2025 for 20 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

• Hertford Road, Orchard Road, Northfield Road, Southfield Road EN3

  • Close these roads at their junctions with High Street EN3; and

• Hertford Road EN3

  • Close the northbound and southbound cycle lane from the north flank wall of No.479 Hertford Road to its junction with Orchard Road.

    Whilst these roads are closed local diversions will be in operation.

GREEN ROAD N14 – 4565

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

"Any time" on 6 August 2025 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

Close this road from outside No.1 to its junction with The Fairway.

Whilst this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.
