Smedley Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Remedial Works

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC144646988: The City of Manchester (Smedley Road, Harpurhey Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Smedley Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Queens Road, Collyhurst Road, Smedley Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate remedial works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 11th August 2025 to 24th August 2025. The order shall come into operation on 11th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 1st August 2025. 

ORDER NO. MCC144702357: The City of Manchester (Hopedale Close, Ancoats & Beswick Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Hopedale Close. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Resurfacing Works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 11th August 2025 to 15th August 2025. The order shall come into operation on 11th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
