Common Lane, Brough - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic To Safely Install Drainage/Kerbing

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC COMMON LANE, BROUGH (PART)

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Common Lane, Brough (part) commencing Monday 18 August 2025 to safely install drainage/kerbing into a new fled access. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. 
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 September 2025.
The alternative route for traffc affected by the road closure will be via Blenheim Avenue, Ings Bridge Roundabout, Bluebird Way, Moor Road, Moor Road Roundabout, Myrtle Way, Welton Road Roundabout, Welton Road, Water Lane, Stanley Jackson Way and Common Lane.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. 
The road will remain open for pedestrians, residents and emergency services only.
