A69 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
THE A69 TRUNK ROAD (HEDDON ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A69 Trunk Road, in the County of Northumberland, to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out in safety.
The work is expected to start on Monday 4 August 2025 for 1 week, or until completed, and will take place between 7pm and 7am.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A69 eastbound entry slip road at Heddon Road Junction; during which times a suitably signed alternative route will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works). The Order comes into force on 3 August 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
