What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE A4173 GLOUCESTER ROAD, EDGE (PAINSWICK PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A4173 Gloucester Road, Edge, from its junction with Jenkins Lane to its junction with Seveleance Lane for a distance of approximately 1150 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for tree works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 7th August 2025 or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401288 ROAD FROM HIGHFIELD WAY TO KEBLE ROAD (CHALFORD PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401288 Road from Highfield Way to Keble Road outside of the property known as ‘Horsepool’s House’ to outside of the property known as ‘Daisey Court farm’ for a distance of approximately 80 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to lay a new gas service.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C267 DUDDRIDGE HILL (RODBOROUGH PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C267 Dudbridge Hill Road from its junction with Dudbridge Road to outside the property known as ‘Bourneshurst’ for a distance of approximately 280 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 21st August 2025 until 15:00hrs on 22nd August 2025 or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will be maintained. The footway is closed but a safe walkway has been provided for pedestrians in the carriageway.

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ZNA50 NAILSWORTH FOOTPATH 50 (NAILSWORTH TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the ZNA50 Nailsworth Footpath 50 from its junction with Stroud Road to its junction with Inchbrook Hill for a total distance of approximately 160 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
