(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out bridge safety inspection works and for the Highway Authority to carry out any subsequent highway maintenance works.
The Order will come into force on the 23rd September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the works will take 1 night to complete between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
SCHEDULE
Ropewalk Terrace will be closed from outside No. 6 Ropewalk Terrace in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 80 metres along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Windsor Road, The Parade, Commercial Street, The Green and Milland Road.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
