What is happening?

NORTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL

GRAND PARADE ONE WAY SYSTEM, TYNEMOUTH (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to extend the permanent one-way system on Grand Parade until the junction with Percy Park Road.

Access for residents, Crusoes and Grande Hotel will be maintained. Road users will need to access these locations from Front Street, Percy Gardens, Sea Banks. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to install blocks in between new splitter islands and will come into force on 25 August 2025 lasting until 1 September 2025.
