Shropshire - Various Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -

PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated
below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises
having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for
cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 11th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the
direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will
only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4364 between Neenton and Cleobury North
Date & Duration: 17th August 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-road closure required for pole testing work.
Alternative Route : B4364, A458, B4368, B4365, B4364


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5063, Hampton Bank, Northwood
Date & Duration: 14th August 2025 between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole Test
Alternative Route : A495, A528, B4397, B5063


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Burton Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 12th August 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, boundary box install and meter.
Alternative Route : Burton Street, West Street, North Street, Queen Street


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Street, Shifnal. The one way order between Vicarage Drive and John Street will be suspended to allow
access
Date & Duration: 12th August 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-to provide a safe working area for engineers to access underground Structure in order to provide fibre underground cabling.
Alternative Route : A464, A4169, Vicarage Drive, Church Street


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Covert Lane, Chelmarsh
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-National Grid-Overhead Works Only - No excavation for Reconductoring.
Alternative Route : B4555, B4363


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Hope Bagot Lane, Knowbury
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Replace Manhole Frame and Cover
Alternative Route : Caynham Road, B4214, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road North and North West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4370 Cwm Head
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 12 days
Purpose: Install gabion baskets sat on concrete base to shore up embankment
Alternative Route : B4370, A489, A49, B4370


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5067, Cross Green
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 9 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Siding out of footway
Alternative Route : B5067, A528, B4397, B5067


Description of restriction: Pedestrians will be prohibited from using Dark Lane, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 5 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Tree works
Alternative Route : Footpath at rear of Sandford Road, footpath south and footpath by Gallows Bank west


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using North Drive, Oswestry
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 12 days between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme
Alternative Route : A495, A5, Twmpath Lane


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wood Lane, Pentre
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 4 days
Purpose: Drainage works
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North West


Description of restriction: Pedestrians will be prohibited from using Roman Road, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 22 days
Purpose: Footway Closure - Cadent Gas main replacement works.
Alternative Route : Grange Road, Bank Farm Road, Longden Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Salisbury Road, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 43 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Gas mains replacement
Alternative Route : Red Bank Road, Dalelands Estate, Salisbury Hill View, Quarry Bank Road, Christchurch Lane, Shrewsbury Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using The Avenue, Uppington
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required for cabling works.
Alternative Route : B5061, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road West, The Avenue


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Trefonen Road, Treflach
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New Water Connection
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Trefonen Road, B5069, A483, A495, Blodwel Bank, Nantmawr Bank


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Farlow and Hill Houses
Date & Duration: 13th August 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-National grid-Tree trimming - No excavation
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North West and North, High Lane, Unnamed road South towards Farlow


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Woolstaston and Leebotwood, Woolstaston
Date & Duration: 13th August 2025 for 3 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, ducting works in verge and carriageway.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road East, A49, Unnamed road West through Walkmills and Smethcott, Unnamed road South West, Betchcott, High Park


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from Hampton Wood to A495
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Notice required for erecting new 11KV poles either side of the road.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East through Breaden Heath, Unnamed road
North West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Eyton, Baschurch
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 2 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Renew joint box.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road West through Myddlewood, B4397, Unnamed road East and North East towards Eyton


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Roads between Haytons Bent and Scrimidge
Date & Duration: 11th August 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: 2x Road Closures-Severn Trent Water-Small Hydrant Install and Washout Renew
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East towards Clee St Margaret, Unnamed road
South East, Unnamed road South through Stokegorse and Stoke St Milborough, B4364, Fishmore Road, Unnamed road North


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Weston Road, Chirbury
Date & Duration: 12th August 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road CLosure-Severn Trent Water-Washout Rebuild chamber
Alternative Route : Weston Road, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road West


Description of restriction: The One Way order on St Austins Friars, Shrewsbury will be suspended to allow access to properties
Date & Duration: 17th August 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 18:00
Purpose: A summer event takes place on Victoria Avenue (Quay)
Alternative Route : Not applicable


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4367 between Bedstone and Bucknell
Date & Duration: 17th August 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Openreach-MJ Quinn are to replace pole
Alternative Route : B4367, B4385, A4113, B4367
