Penn Road, Wolverhampton - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(PENN ROAD (OUTBOUND) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along Penn Road closed outbound only, from its junction with Ring Road to opposite its junction with Lonsdale Road.
The vehicular diversion route is: Ring Road, Birmingham Road, Thompson Avenue, Parkfield Road and Goldthorn Hill.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, it is anticipated that the road closure will be in place between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only, and for only one day between 12 August 2025 and 15 August 2025
to facilitate carriageway surface dressing, for an additional day between 18 August 2025 and 22 August 2025 to facilitate surface treatment, and for a final day between 18 August 2025 and 29 August 2025 for lining works by City
of Wolverhampton Council.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway surface dressing, surface treatment and lining works by City of Wolverhampton Council.
