Roads Surrounding Beach Dubbin Event - Temporary Banned Right Turn

What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Beach Dubbin) (Temporary Banned Right Turn) (No.127) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 3rd August 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY BANNED RIGHT TURN
CLARENCE PARADE

At its junction with Serpentine Way.
At its junction with Avenue de Caen.
SERPENTINE WAY
At its junction with Clarence Parade.
AVENUE DE CAEN
At its junction with Clarence Parade.
PALMERSTON ROAD
At its junction with Clarence Parade.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the Beach Dubbin event and for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 09:00 to 15:00 on 3rd August 2025 or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Serpentine Way and Avenue de Caen to Clarence Parade (westbound), Duisburg Way Roundabout, Clarence Parade (eastbound) and from Palmerston Road to Clarence Parade (eastbound) to Jack Cockerill Way Roundabout to Clarence Parade (westbound).
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the event.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian routes.
