What is happening?

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE HAMPSHIRE DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC  RIGHTS OF WAY (DATED 15TH DECEMBER 2007) THE HAMPSHIRE (CITY OF WINCHESTER NO 58) (PARISH OF WEST MEON) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

On the 22 July 2025 Hampshire County Council confirmed this Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to record a byway open to all traffic commencing at SU 6490 2542 at a junction with Vinnells Lane and proceeding in a north-easterly direction past Headdon Farm and Little Headdon Copse, continuing through Great Headdon Copse to a junction with Petersfield Road (A272) at SU 6553 2614.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD, and at the offices of Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ at all reasonable hours, or online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices.

Copies of the Order and the map can be provided on request. The Order came into force on 22 July 2025 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act within forty two days from 08 August 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
