Gala Day Parade At Edzell - Temporary Prohibition of Driving And Waiting

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 28 July, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Gala Day Parade At Edzell) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving And Waiting) Order 2025 under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that the Edzell Gala may take place. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic from driving on B966 High Street, Edzell from its junction with Ramsay Street northwards to Edzell Muir car park, a distance of 700 metres or thereby, as implemented on the basis of a “Rolling” road closure along the procession route under the control of a stewards and prohibit vehicular traffic from waiting on B966 High Street Edzell. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
