C146 HIGH HOUSE ROAD MORPETH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C146 High House Road from its point at the entrance to Craik Park heading north for a distance of 200 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd August 2025 until the 25th August 2025.
It is expected that the road will be closed at all times from 12:00 on the 22nd August 2025 until 12:00 on the 25th August 2025 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th August 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the B6542, B1337, U6109 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by AV Productions Ltd to facilitate the safety of the public attending the Party in the Park 2025 event. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland:
U9050 Milbourne To South East Farm Junction from its junction with U9051 Milbourne Junction To Milbourne Hall for a distance of 389 metres in a northeasterly then southeasterly direction.
U9051 Milbourne Junction To Milbourne Hall from its junction with C346 Robsheugh Farm Junction To East Grange Junction for a distance of 1100 metres in a southerly then southwesterly direction. U9051 Milbourne Hall Junction To East Farm Junction from its junction with U9051 Milbourne Junction To Milbourne Hall for a distance of 664 metres in a northeasterly direction.
U9050 Smithy Cottages To Coldcoates Junction from its junction with U9051 Milbourne Hall Junction To East Farm Junction for a distance of 115 metres in a southeasterly direction.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th August 2025 until the 14th November 2025.
It is expected that work will be done in sections and only one section of road will be closed at any one time however, the order will remain in place until the 14th November 2025.
It is expected that the U9050 Milbourne To South East Farm Junction will be closed at all times from the 18th August 2025 until the 1st September 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C346, A696, U9050, U9051 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
It is expected that the U9051 Milbourne Junction To Milbourne Hall will be closed at all times from the 28th August 2025 until the 26th September 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U9050, U9051 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
It is expected that the U9051 Milbourne Hall Junction To East Farm Junction will be closed at all times from the 24th September 2025 until the 17th October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U9051, C346, A696, U9050 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
It is expected that the U9050 Smithy Cottages To Coldcoates Junction will be closed at all times from the 13th October 2025 until the 31st October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U9051, C346, A696, U9050 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by United Living to excavate in the carriageway and verge to install new water main and renew services. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order. DATED this 31st day of July 2025.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C195 RIDSDALE JUNCTION TO DISTRICT BOUNDARY
KIRKWHELPINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NO 2 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C195 Ridsdale Junction To District Boundary from its junction with A696 Saugh House To Knowesgate, Belsay heading in a south westward direction for a distance of 1320 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th August 2025 until the 10th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th August 2025 until the 22nd August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 10th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A696, B6342, A68, C195 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C148 ST. LEONARDS LANE MITFORD
(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the speed by vehicular traffic from 60 mph down to 30 mph on that section of the C148 St Leonards Lane Mitford from its junction with the B6343 Mitford Village for a distance of 1180 metres to its junction with the A197 St.Leonards Lane to A1 Junction in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th August 2025 until the 29th April 2026.
It is expected that the speed restriction will be in force from the 18th August 2025 until the 1st April 2026 and that the road will be restricted at all times during this period. The Order however will remain in place until the 29th April 2026.

The speed restriction has been requested by Northumberland County Council due to the likelihood of danger to the public as the road is narrow and heavier than normal traffic flow is expected.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 23rd July 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Great North Bike Ride 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”). The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Great North Bike Ride 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the B1340 Seafield Road in Seahouses from it’s junction with Seafield Road to Seahouses Harbour to the Main Street roundabout for 85 metres and the B1340 Main Street in North Sunderland from it’s junction with Seafield Road to it’s junction with King Street for 75 metres (“the Road”).
The TTRO shall come into force at 8:00 hours on the 25th August 2025 and will remain in force until 10:00 hours on the 25th August 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via St Aidans, Broad Road, Main Street and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

The above Order, made on 27th November 2020, was Confirmed by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State on 25th June 2025, and will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-
Former Alnwick District
Byway Open to All Traffic No 34 (Parish of Harbottle)
Adding thereto a byway open to all traffic, from a point on the U4018 road, 15 metres south of Gardener’s Cottage, Harbottle (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9357 0467), in a general easterly direction along the U4018 road for a distance of 750 metres, to a point on the U4018 road, 10 metres northeast of Peels Cottages (NT 9420 0482).
Public Bridleway No 20 (Parish of Harbottle)
Adding thereto a public bridleway, from alleged Byway Open to All Traffic No 34 (the U4018 road), 70 metres west of The Peels Farmhouse (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9419 0480), in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres, to the existing western end of Public Bridleway No 20, 30 metres west of The Peels Farmhouse (NT 9423 0480).
Bridleway No 11 & Footpath No 19 (Parish of Harbottle)
The Definitive Statements for these existing public rights of way will be amended to reflect the addition of the ‘new’ Byway Open to All Traffic No 34.

The Order became operative on 25th June 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any regulation has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may within six weeks from 31st July 2025 make an application to the High Court for that purpose
