Hampshire County Council - Hart - Parking and waiting order restrictions

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 5th August 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53, 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to consolidate in their entirety all Parking & Waiting orders created by Hampshire County Council and Hart District Council and which are still in force within the district, the details and complete list of which can be found in the Consolidation Order named above.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Monday 18th August 2025.
FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the orders to be varied/ revoked / part-revoked may be viewed at  https://www.hants.gov.uk/community/publicnotices/?typeid=5 or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places: (i) Hart District Council Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet, GU51 4AE (Opening hours: Monday Thursdays: 08.30 – 17.00; Fridays: 08.30 – 16.30) (ii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)  (iii) Copies of the order as made, plan and statement of reasons can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Universal Services, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2040b/MJB
APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Friday 19th September 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
