What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
The London Borough Of Barking And Dagenham (Dunkeld Road, Dagenham) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 -
Notice Of Intent
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer rehabilitation works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come into effect on Wednesday 20th August 2025. The works expected for:
• Sewer rehabilitation to take 3 days to complete.
3. Completion date estimated as Friday 22nd August 2025 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
4. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:–
• Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Dunkeld Road, both sides, from its junction with Green Lane to the extended common boundary of 23/25 Dunkeld Road.
• Prohibit all vehicular traffic (except for Access) on Dunkeld Road, both sides, from its junction Winterbourne Road to the extended common boundary of 23/25 Dunkeld Road.
• Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone CH Mon-Fri 8:30am–5:30pm bays on Dunkeld Road, both sides, from its junction with Green Lane to the extended common boundary of 23/25 Dunkeld Road.
5. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
• Via Dunkeld Road, Stevens Road, Waldegrave Road and Green Lane.
• Via Green Lane, Burnside Road, Stevens Road and Dunkeld Road.
