Eastrop Lane & Eastrop Way, Basingstoke And Deane - Temporary Road Closures due to fibre optic duct installation
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Eastrop Lane between its junction with Eastrop Way and a point approximately 10 Metres South of said junction. Eastrop Way between its junction with Eastrop Lane and a point approximately 10 Metres East of said junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: London Road, Victoria Street, New Street, Timberlake Road, A3010
DURATION OF ORDER: from 12th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 3 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day). The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for OCU Group to carry out excavation works to install duct for fibre optic cable. OCU Group will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
