Victoria Avenue - Temporary Road Closure To Facilitate Drainage Investigation Works
What is happening?

Temporary Road Closure Victoria Avenue, and Cole Lane Borrowash
When: 20 August and 01 September 2025 (20:00 to 06:00 each night for 7 nights between these dates)
Where: Victoria Avenue, Borrowash from the Jct. of the A52 westbound for approx. 100m. Cole Lane, Borrowash from the Jct. of the A52 westbound for approx. 50m.
Reason: To facilitate drainage investigation works.
Alternative Route: Victoria Avenue diversion - A52 westbound, Spondon Roundabout, A52 eastbound, Victoria Avenue, Ockbrook. Cole Lane diversion - B5010, Nottingham Road, A6005, Victoria Avenue, A52 eastbound to Sandiacre interchange, A52 westbound.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
