The County of Cornwall (Mellangoose, Sithney) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Sithney. This prohibition is necessary for fibre infrastructure works and it is expected that the closure will be from 28th August 2025 to 1st September 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Road affected - Mellangoose, Sithney between the junctions of Sithney Common Hill and Newham Lane.

The County of Cornwall (Rosemundy, St Agnes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Agnes. This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 28th August 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road affected - Rosemundy, St Agnes between properties numbered 51 and 44.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Wendron. This prohibition is necessary for fibre infrastructure works and it is expected that the closure will be from 26th August 2025 to 29th August 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Boskenwyn between grid references SW69083 28025 and SW69105 28186 and Treloquithack between grid references SW69105 28186, SW68811 29505 and SW69095 29391, Wendron.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Breage. This prohibition is necessary for fibre infrastructure works and it is expected that the closure will be from 26th August 2025 to 2nd September 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Road affected - Poldown, Breage for its entire length.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Erme. This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th August 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1600, weekdays only.

Road affected - Road From Trispen Hill To A39 South West Of St Erme, St Erme between the properties named Ebrenn Cottage and Fernlea.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Truro. This prohibition is necessary for tree works and it is expected that the closure will be from 26th August 2025 to 27th August 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Road From Lower Hugus Road To Kilters, Hugus, Truro between the junctions of Lane To Lower Besore and Lower Hugus Road and Lower Hugus Road, Threemilestone between grid reference SW77726 44449 and the junction of Hugus Meadows.

The County of Cornwall (Road From The A390 Roundabout At Threemilestone To Penventinnie Lane, Threemilestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Threemilestone. This prohibition is necessary for sewer works and it is expected that the closure will be from 25th August 2025 to 30th August 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Road affected - Road From The A390 Roundabout At Threemilestone To Penventinnie Lane, Threemilestone between grid references SW78503 45744 and SW78600 45848.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 28th July 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footpath 48, in the Parish of Grade-Ruan between grid references SW71136 17707 and SW71657 17112. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a rotten bridge.

The Order will come into operation on 29th July 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 27th January 2026.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 8th July 2025 fora period of up to 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 28th July 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Penhellaz Hill and Cross Street, Helston for their entire lengths. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the highway to carry HV fault repair works.

The Order will come into operation on 29th July 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 8th August 2025.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 8th July 2025 fora period of 21 days. 

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 25th February 2025 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Road From Erisey Terrace To Trevethan Road, Falmouth for its entire length. The Order which commenced on the 5th February 2025 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 22nd August 2025.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a collapsed wall.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 13th February 2025 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being being Footpath 110 in the Parish of St Stephen in Brannel from grid references SW 92101:54806 to SW 92194:54432 and Footpath 13 in the Parish of Ladock between grid references SW 91855 to SW 92098:54802.

The Order which commenced on the 14th February 2025 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 24th July 2027.

The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 24th July 2025 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public as the route runs through an active industrial site and a busy haulage road.

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
