Duncombe Street, Temporary Prohibition O Traffic Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL DUNCOMBE STREET, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works proposed to be executed on or near Duncombe Street, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Duncombe Street from its junction with Ingleby Road to its junction with Bingley Street.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Duncombe Street (unaffected section), Rosse Street, Thornton Road, Ingleby Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 11th August 2025 and remain in force until 23:55 hours on the 22nd August 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
