ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

A650, SIR FRED HOYLE WAY, BINGLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works proposed to be executed on or near A650, Sir Fred Hoyle Way, Bingley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of A650, Sir Fred Hoyle Way, as follows:

a. (one-way closure – northbound) from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Ferncliffe Road.

b. (one-way closure – southbound) from its junction with Ferncliffe Road to its junction with Bradford Road.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available, as follows:

a. Bradford Road, Ferncliffe Road, Sir Fred Hoyle Way (slip road northbound).

b. Sir Fred Hoyle Way (southbound slip road), Ferncliffe Road and Bradford Road.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 20:00 hours on the 8th August 2025 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on the 11th August 2025 (northbound) and at 20:00 hours on the 15th August 2025 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on the 18th August 2025 (southbound) (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
