TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
The London Borough Of Barking And Dagenham (Henshawe Road And Margery Road, Dagenham) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE OF INTENT
1.NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate safety of engineers’ works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Friday 22nd August 2025. The works expected for:
• The safety of engineers’ works to take 1 day to complete.
• Completion date estimated as Friday 22nd August 2025 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 9:30am to 3:30pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:
• Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for marshalled access) on Margery Road, both sides, from the common boundary of Nos. 6 and 8 Margery Road to a point 2.4 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 41 and 43 Margery Road.
• Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for marshalled access) on Henshawe Road, both sides, from its junction with Margery Road for a distance of 18 metres in a southerly direction.
• Prohibit all pedestrians (Except for marshalled access) on Margery Road, south side footpath, from the common boundary of Nos. 14 and 16 Margery Road for 17 metres in a westerly direction.
• Prohibit all pedestrians (Except for marshalled access) on Margery Road, south side footpath, from its junction with Henshawe Road for 9.2 metres in an easterly direction.
• Prohibit all pedestrians (Except for marshalled access) on Henshawe Road, east side footpath, from its junction with Margery Road for 14 metres in a southerly direction.
• Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone SGV Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm bays at the following locations:
Margery Road, north side, outside Nos. 9-11 and Nos. 21-41 Margery Road.
Margery Road, south side, outside Nos. 8-10 and opposite Nos. 19-27 Margery Road.
Henshawe Road, west side, from a point 8.9 metres south of its junction with Margery Road for 8 metres in a southerly direction.
4. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be maintained and signed:
• Via Henshawe Road west side footpath.
• Via Margery Road, north side footpath.
5. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
• Via Henshawe Road, Valence Wood Road, Bonham Road, Margery Road and Vice versa.
