Bridgwater, Temporary Road Closures Due To Phased Polling & Cabling Works

Somerset Council Parish of Bridgwater Temporary Closure of Bincombe Road, Longstone Avenue, Courtway, Brooklands and Fairfax

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Bincombe Road -from the junction with Parkway, westwards for a distance of 144 metres; Longstone Avenue - from the junction with Fairfax, southwards for a distance of 528 metres; Courtway - from the Bincombe Road for its entirety; Brooklands - from the junction with Longstone Avenue for its entirety; and Fairfax - from the junction with Parkway, westwards for a distance of 179 metres. A total distance of 1000 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out phased polling and cabling works.

The Order becomes effective on 29th July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th August 2025 and last until 29th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 -18:30 for a total of 26 days.
