Bridgwater, Temporary Road Closures Due To Phased Pole Installation Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Bridgwater Temporary Closure of Halsway, Raleigh Close, Charlton Close, Blossom Close and Servage Court
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Halsway - from the junction with Parkway to the junction with Longstone Avenue; Raleigh Close - from the junction with Weacombe Road, for its entirety; Charlton Close - from the junction with Parkway, south-westwards for a distance of 129 metres; Blossom Close - from the junction with Halsway, for its entirety; and Servage Court - from the junction with Halsway, for its entirety. A total distance of 500 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out phased pole installation works (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 29th July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th August 2025 and last until 29th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 -18:30 for a total of 26 days.
