Brook Street - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Gas Mains Replacement Scheme
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE BROOK STREET, NEWHALL
WHEN: 18 August to 02 September 2025
WHERE: Brook Street, Newhall between its Jct. with Main Street and its Jct. with New Road.
REASON: To facilitate gas mains replacement scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B5353 Main Street, High Street, Orchard Street, Parliament Street, New Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
