Wallness Lane - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order For The Installation Of High Voltage Electricity Cables
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (WALLNESS LANE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce a road closure on Wallness Lane, Salford, starting from the north entrance of the David Lewis Recreation Ground Footpath, to the junction of University Road. The Order is necessary for the installation of high voltage electricity cables. The order is due to come into operation on Tuesday 5th August 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 22nd August 2025. The diversion routes are via:
• B6186 Frederick Road - Lower Broughton Road - A5066 Broughton Bridge - Silk Street - Adelphi Street - A6 Crescent - A6 Broad Street - U-Turn at Pendleton Roundabout - A6 Broad Street - University Road.
• University Road - A6 Broad Street - A6 Crescent - Adelphi Street - Silk Street - A5066 Broughton Bridge - Lower Broughton Road - B6186 Frederick Road.
