What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(GRANGE PARK, NORTHAMPTON)

(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice and detailed in the Schedule to the proposed Order.

A copy of the draft Order, the associated map, the Schedule of affected roads, and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be:

•  Viewed online at www.westnorthants.gov.uk (search “Traffic Regulation Orders”), or

•  Inspected by appointment at Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, NN6 9BX by calling 01604 529700.

MAKING COMMENTS, REPRESENTATIONS, OR OBJECTIONS – Any person wishing to object to, support, or comment on the proposed Order must do so in writing, stating the grounds for their objection or representation, to be received no later than 21st August 2025 to: Traffic Orders Section, Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth,

The following roads (or parts thereof) in Grange Park, Northampton, as shown on the map annexed to the Order and detailed in the schedule to the Order:

Barn Close, Bridge Meadow Way, Brook View, Foxfield Way, Harefield Hazel Copse, Kings Close, Little Field, Lodge Close, Millers Way, Ploughmans Way, Quintonside, Rickyard Walk, School Lane, The Meadows, The Ridings, The Rookery, The Spinney, Wake Way, Wake Way/ Bridge Meadow Way, Wake Way/Saxon Avenue/Williams Way roundabout, Wootton Road and as listed in the Schedule to this Order.
