Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE U5809 GRINDERS LANE, WEYBREAD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5809 Grinders Lane, Weybread from the junction with the B1116 for 300 metres eastbound to facilitate work on overhead structures. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1116, the B1123 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/07/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE B1102 THE STREET, WORLINGTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1102 The Street, Worlington from The War Memorial for 50 metres westbound to facilitate a water mains fitting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1102, the B1104, the B1382, the A1101, the B1102 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2025 - 01/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE C229 CHURCH ROAD, PEASENHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C229 Church Road, Peasenhall from the junction with the A1120 for 20 metres southbound to facilitate an electrical link box replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1120, the A12, Rendham Road, Church Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2025 - 01/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE C547 STOKE ROAD, THORNDON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C547 Stoke Road, Thorndon from 170 metres northwest of the junction with Clint Road for 40 metres north westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, the B1077, the B1117, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2025 - 01/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE B1102 FORDHAM ROAD, FRECKENHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1102 Fordham Road, Freckenham from 200 metres east of the junction with B1104 for 200 metres eastbound to facilitate reinstatement of the carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1102, the B1104, the B1382, the A1101, and the B1102 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate in two phases from:
8/08/2025 - 11/08/2025 from 8pm - 6am
15/08/2025 - 18/08/2025 from 8pm - 6am.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
THE A1071 IPSWICH ROAD, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1071 Ipswich Road, Hadleigh from the junction with Lady Lane to the A1071 Back Road, Hintlesham to facilitate surface dressing and lining works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1071, the A1214, the A14, the B1113, Grinstead Hill, the B1078, the B1115, the A1141, the A1071 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
• 7pm on 30/07/2025 - 5am on 01/08/2025
• 7pm on 15/08/2025 - 5am on 28/08/2025
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
