Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 31 July 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MARLBOROUGH STREET, SKELDON GATE AND CHILDS WAY MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2214)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to facilitate National Grid to carry out high voltage cable installation works for the MK General Hospital.
10th August 2025 – 10th February 2026
Marlborough Street (Southbound) – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Springfield Boulevard.
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Marlborough Street (Southbound) – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Portway.
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Childs Way (Eastbound and Westbound) – from its junction with Marlborough Street to its junction with South Enmore Roundabout
Skeldon Gate – From its junction with Portway to its junction with Silbury Boulevard
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Warning signs will be erected several days in advance to inform the public of the forthcoming closure.
Only one closure will be in place at one time.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GARROWMORE GROVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2226)
This order is to enable BT to carry out excavations for duct works safely 11th August 2025 – 14th August 2025 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Garrowmore Grove, Bletchley – its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed there will be no alternative route, however access will be maintained for residents.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29 July 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ROCKINGHAM DRIVE, LINFORD WOOD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2197)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Vodafone to carry out telecoms works and installation of pole: -
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road: -
(4th August 2025 – 7th August 2025 7:00pm and 6:00am each night).
• Rockingham Drive, Linford Wood – opposite The Forum.
Access will be maintained via marshals at either end of the closure.
The above closure will be in effect Between 4th August 2025 – 7th August 2025. Signs will be erected several days in advance to inform the public of the forthcoming closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MAULDEN GARDENS, GIFFARD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2199)
in order to enable Openreach to carry out new connection works 4th August 2025 – 8th August 2025 (Between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Maulden Gardens, Giffard Park – Outside Number 2 Maulden Gardens.
Access will be maintained.
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS TONGWELL, OLNEY AND SHERINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2191)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road and redway to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
19th August 2025 – 21st August 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm each day)
Brickhill Street H3 to H4, Tongwell (Slip Road) – From its junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with Delaware Drive.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route for Southbound Vehicles will be via Brickhill Street, Dansteed Way and Delaware Drive (and vice versa).
4th August 2025 – 6th August 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm each day)
Midland Road, Olney – Outside Number 29
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Newton Street and East Street (and vice versa).
11th August 2025 – 15th August 2025 (24 Hours)
Water Lane, Sherington – Outside Number 43
access for residents will be maintained.
This will also effect access to Bridleway 21 Sherington.
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PAYNES DRIVE (PART), LOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2203)
This order is to enable National Grid to carry out substation works safely 4th August 2025 – 19th August 2025 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Paynes Drive, Loughton – from its junction with Linceslade Drive to its junction with Specklands.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Watling Street and Olde Bell Lane (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CALVERTON LANE (PART), CALVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2193)
This order is to enable Smith Construction Group to carry out works to build a new junction 4th August 2025 – 1st December 2025 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Calverton Lane, Calverton – from its junction with Ryeland Drive to its junction with Oakhill Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Calverton Road, Horsefair Green, London Road and Watling Street (and vice versa).
