Watson Avenue - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WATSON AVENUE, NEWLANDS, HEANOR
WHEN: 18 August 2025 (07:00 to 18:00)
WHERE: Watson Avenue, Newlands, Heanor between its Jct. with Lawn Close and its Jct. with Saxton Avenue.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing repairs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Watson Avenue, Mansfield Road, Church Street, Market Place, Market Street, High Street, Midland Road, Burton Street, Fletcher Street, Lower Gladstone Street, Gladstone Avenue, Saxton Avenue and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
