What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
COWPER LANE / CHADWICK NICK LANE, CRICH
WHEN: 04 August to 06 August 2025.
WHERE: Cowper Lane / Chadwick Nick Lane, Crich between its jct. with Sandy Lane and the access road to Chadwick Nick Reservoir.
REASON: To facilitate repairs to Severn Trent Water inspection chamber.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sandy Lane, Market Place, The Common, Surgery Lane, Crich Common, Top Hagg Lane, Chadwick Nick Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
