Nicholas Street - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143647906: The City of Manchester (Back George Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Back George Street from Nicholas Street to Charlotte Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Nicholas Street, Fountain Street, York Street, New York Street, Faulkner Street, Charlotte Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Desiliting Works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 11th August 2025 to 12th August 2025 between the hours of 21:00 and 03:00. The order shall come into operation on 11th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 30th July 2025.
ORDER NO. MCC144651283: The City of Manchester (Gunson Street, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Gunson Street From Butler Street to number 13 Gunson street. The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrian traffic on Gunson Street, From Gunson Street to Oldham Road, The alternative routes for traffic will be: Butler Street, Landos Road, Oldham Road, Butler Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway & footway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 11th August 2025 to 15th August 2025. The order shall come into operation on 11th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
