Basingstoke, Temporary Road Closure Due To Bridge Inspection Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - CHAPEL HILL & VYNE ROAD, BASINGSTOKE & DEANE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

Chapel Hill between its junction with Vyne Road and continuing to a point 52 metres North on

Chapel Hill.

Vyne Road between its junction with Chapel Hill and continuing to a point 52 metres North on Vyne Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Vyne Road, Burgess Road, Sherbourne Road, Chapel Hill, Kingsclere Road, Houndmills Roundabout, Houndmills Road, Brunel Road, A340 Ringway West, Thornycroft Roundabout, Churchill Way West, Victory Roundabout, Alencon Link.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Wednesday 30th July 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 days and working between the hours 22:00-06:00).
