What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(LEEDS ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 213) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Wakefield for approximately 48 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th August 2025 from 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WESTMORLAND STREET, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 218) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate to remove setts and replace with tarmac to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Westmorland Street, Wakefield. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Westmorland Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Bus/Taxi diversion – Northgate, Marsh Way, Jacobs Well Lane, Marsh Way, Kirkgate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th August 2025 to 8th August 2025 between 20.00 hours and 05.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(PARK LODGE LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 241) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Park Lodge Lane, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Park Lodge Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Park Lodge Lane, Linton Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th August 2025 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(STANLEY ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 242) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stanley Road, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stanley Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Park Lodge Lane, Shepley Street, Greenwood Road, Stanley Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th August 2025 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(AGBRIGG ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 243) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Agbrigg Road, Wakefield opposite number 23. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Agbrigg Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Agbrigg Road, Doncaster Road, Barnsley Road, Agbrigg Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th August 2025 at 21.00 hours to 20th August 2025 at 01.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(FOOTPATH 9, STATION ROAD, NORMANTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 245) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for construction of roads and drainage to new housing development to be carried out on or near Footpath 9, Station Road, Normanton, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath. Alternative route for pedestrians: N/A.
The order comes into operation on 18th August 2025 to 18th February 2026.
