Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1117 NEW STREET, STRADBROKE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1117 New Street, Stradbroke from 240 metres west of the junction with Queen Street for 50 metres westbound to facilitate a water disconnection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1077, the A140, the B1118 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/07/2025 - 31/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4404 BRAMFORD LANE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4404 Bramford Lane, Ipswich from the junction with Eustace Road to the junction with Shafto Road to facilitate the installation of new road markings and signage. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Eustace Road, Wallace Road, the B1067, Shafto Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/07/2025 - 30/07/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C347 FERRY ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C347 Ferry Road, Felixstowe from an area 50 metres eastbound to facilitate installation of a new telecommunications service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Cliff Road, Church Road, Ferry Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/07/2025 - 30/07/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1071 HADLEIGH BYPASS, HADLEIGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1071 Hadleigh Bypass, Hadleigh from the junction with Red Hill Road to the road from the A1071 to the B1417 to facilitate surface dressing, lining and associated works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1071, the A1214, the A14, the B1113, Grinstead Hill, the B1078, the B1115, the A1141, the A1071 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

• (Surface dressing) 29/07/2025 - 31/07/2025 from 7pm - 5am

• (Lining and associated works) 19/08/2025 - 21/08/2025 from 7pm - 5am

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
