PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC – CROCODILE WALK 2000 FOOTPATH, HOVE
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 23 July 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-
a) The closure of Crocodile Walk 2000 Footpath, Hove at its junction with Dyke Road for a distance of approx. 40 metres in a south-westerly direction.
The Order is necessary to allow contractors on behalf of UK Power Networks to Install/Replace/Remove ground mounted switchgear/transformers: Excavate joint bay in footpath near to pillar location to expose LV cables for 4 x LV .3a +sl PILC pot ends and dig back/ expose LV cables. Cast new sub plinth and deliver new plant. Excavate s/s and HV joint bay in footpath outside for straight joints on the 2 x HV cables at this location.
Pedestrian access will be maintained via a signed diversion route.
This Order comes into force on 31 July 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 29 August 2025.
