Tryon Street - Road Closed To Vehicles For Developers’ Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
TRYON STREET

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads. 

 ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR DEVELOPERS’ WORKS.

Tryon Street to be closed from outside of number 9 to the junction of King’s Road.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 11th August 2025 until 18.00hrs on Friday 29th August 2025, with backup dates of Monday 18th August 2025 until Friday 5th September 2025, or until the works are completed.

Diverted through traffic may use Elystan Place, Markham Street, King’s Road. The one-way working on Tryon Street, is to be suspended for the duration of the road closure, to allow access and ergress.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers. 

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
