M6 Motorway - Temporary Restriction of Traffic For Installation Works

THE M6 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 16 TO JUNCTION 15)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the County of Staffordshire, to enable installation works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to impose a 50 miles per hour speed restriction on the southbound carriageway of the M6 between points 770 metres northwest and 1500 metres southeast of the centreline of the A53 Whitmore Road overbridge.
The speed limit will be in place 24 hours a day for the duration of the works and is expected to start at 20:00 hours on Monday 11 August 2025 and continue for 12 days. The Order will come into force on 4 August 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction.
