Shirley Holms Road, Sway, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to bridge inspection
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Shirley Holms Road between its junction with Jealous Lane and continuing to a point 20 metres East on Shirley Holms Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Southampton Road, Setley Plain Road, B3055, Pitmore Lane, Shirley Holms Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 11th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day and working between the hours 22:00-06:00).
