Arthuret, Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians Due To Overhead Power Line Upgrade Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NOS. 101001 AND 101003 IN THE PARISH OF ARTHURET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Morgan Sindall to carry out works to upgrade the overhead power lines (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following sections of public footpath at Fauld Mill in the Parish of Arthuret
The entire length of Public Footpath No. 101001; and
An approx. 735m length of Public Footpath No. 101003 between Grid References 339104 567885 and 338384 567826.
There are no suitable alternative routes available for pedestrians

The Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for approximately 1 month.
