Parks Lane, Minehead - Temporary Closure due to desilting works

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Parks Lane - from the junction with Park Street to the junction with Watery Lane. A total distance of 124 metres. This Order will enable Bridge Civil Engineering Ltd to carry put desilting works on behalf of The Environment Agency. The Order becomes effective on 8th August 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 11th August 2025 and last until 5th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 (Monday - Thursday Only) for a total of 26 days.
