Multiple Roads, North Waltham, Basingstoke & Deane - Temporary Road Closure due to fibre optic installation

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. 
ROAD TO BE CLOSED:  Popham Lane between its junction with Church Road and its junction with Cold Harbour.  Church Road between its junction with Steventon Road and its junction with Yew Tree Lane. Stubbs Hill between its junction with Oakley Road and its junction with Mary Lane. Steventon Road between its junction with Church Road and its junction with Mary Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:  Yew Tree Lane, Up Street, Maidenthorn Lane, A30 Yew Tree Lane, Chapel Street, Mary Lane, Steventon Road Ashe Park Lane, Waltham Lane, Steventon Road Church Road, Yew Tree Lane, Mary Lane DURATION OF ORDER: from 14th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 20 days and in operation for 24 hours a day). 
The Road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for OCU Group to carry out works to install fibre optic cable. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: bdukhampshirestreetworks@ocugroup.com OCU Group will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
