Comberow Lane, Old Cleeve - Temporary Closure of due to verge repairs

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Comberow Lane - from 2143 metres south west of the junction with Pit Lane, south-westwards for a total distance of 76 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out works to repair verge edge on behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 1st August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th August 2025 and last until 8th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
