(162 TO 188 KINGSWAY, GATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) (SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY SYSTEM )NOTICE 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Service Road for 162 to 188 Kingsway, Gatley from the junction of Southpark Road in a southerly direction for approx. 30m, and a Suspension of a One Way System at Mardale Drive, Gatley for the full length, South Park Road, Gatley from the junction of Mardale Drive to the junction of Service Road for 162 to 188 Kingsway, and Service Road for 162 to 188 Kingsway, Gatley from the junction of Mardale Road in a northerly direction for approx. 70m, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow gas mains replacement works to take place. It is estimated these works will last 35 working days. A diversion will be provided via South Park Road and Mardale Drive. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and there will be an exemption for emergency vehicles. This Order will come into operation on the 28 July 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
