Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Bowerhill Lane, Melksham Without; from its junction with A365 for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. B) Back Lane (Part), Chitterne; from its junction with C22 for a distance of approximately 115m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Internet to carry out to excavate hole to receive the rural meet up. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. C) Cottles Lane, Winsley; from its junction with C391 to its junction with C230 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out core samples and associated works. Alternative route via C230 – C391 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. D) Rutts Lane, West Lavington; from its junction with A360 to its junction with Stibb Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out survey and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 21 August 2025. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: E) C22 (Part), Chitterne; from its junction with Abdon Close to its property known as No.01 Townsend to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C22 (unaffected length) – A360 – B390 – C222 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closure will be required until 08 August 2025. F) Hartham Lane, Corsham, Biddestone and Slaughterford; from its junction with A4 to its junction with The Butts to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out pipe investigation works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 for 5 days. G) B3098 (Part), Market Lavington and Easterton; from its junction with Park Road to its property known as Easterton Village Hall to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3098 (unaffected length) – A342 – A360 and vice versa. Alternative route HGVs via B3098 (unaffected length) A342 – A360 – Cheverell Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 until 29 August 2025. H) Rough Street (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C157 for a distance of approximately 201m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out duct laying works and other associated works. Alternative route via Rough Street (unaffected length) – C4 – C37 – C157 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 4 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C360 (Part), Warminster; from its junction with George Street to its junction with Deverill Road. And to temporarily suspend the existing One Way Order on Emwell Street to allow access for residents and businesses to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C360 (unaffected length) – B3414 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 weekdays only until 05 September 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 10mph speed restriction on the following length of road: B3098 (Part), Bratton; from its junction with Court Orchard to its property known as No.38, Westbury
Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out S50 water connection and associated works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. These speed limit restrictions will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and will be in place weekdays between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, Saturdays between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 and Sundays hours will be between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00 and will be required until 08 August 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
