Castle Hill, Bredbury - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving A Water Mains Diversion
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(CASTLE HILL, BREDBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Castle Hill, Bredbury from approx. 20m north of the junction of Ashton Road to the junction of Battle Lane, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow for works to enable a water mains diversion. It is estimated these works will last 24 days. A diversion will be provided via Ashton Road, Castle Hill, and vice versa.
This Order does not apply to pedestrians. This Order will come into operation on the 1 August 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
