What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

KENSINGTON PLACE & NEWCOMBE STREET

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.

Kensington Place to be closed eastbound from the junction of Jameson Street.

• Newcombe Street to be closed at the junction of Kensington Place.

Diverted through traffic may use Uxbridge Street, Jameson Street, Kensington Place, Campden Hill Road, Peel Street, Kensington Church Street.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Tuesday 5th August until 18.00hrs on Sunday 24th August 2025, or until the works are completed.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
