(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Cross Street, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 30 July 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 5 August 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Cross Street, Peebles.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Elcho Street Brae, Old Town, Young Street and Cross Road to the point of closure, southbound traffic is via Cross Road, Damdale and Elcho Street.
