Footpath 50, Hazel Grove And Bramhall - Temporary Closure For Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(FOOTPATH 50, HAZEL GROVE AND BRAMHALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Closure of the complete length of Footpath 50 Hazel Grove and Bramhall between Bramhall Park Road and Footpath 51 HGB, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath. This Order is necessary to allow works by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council contractors to take place. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. A diversion will be provided from the western end of Footpath 50 HGB north on Footpath 51 HGB to Linney Road, then east to Bramhall Park Road, and then south to the eastern end of Footpath 50 HGB. This Order came into operation on 25 July 2025 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
