SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
THE SQUARE ACCESS ROAD TO SHOPS,
STAMFORD BRIDGE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along The Square Access Road to the shops, Stamford
Bridge starting from the junction of The Square for
approximately 20 metres North commencing
18 August 2025 at 21.00 hours to lay duct in the
carriageway and footway safely. The closure will be
between 21.00 hours and 06.00 hours.
The highway is to be clear all other times.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by 22 August 2025 at 06.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via The Square Access Road to the
shops, The Square and vice versa. The diversion route
will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be
closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
