Heathside Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (HEATHSIDE ROAD, CHEADLE HEATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Heathside Road, Cheadle Heath, at its junction with Edgeley Road, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road.
This Order is necessary to allow for the Greek Street bridge replacement works to take place. It is estimated these works will last 11 days.
A diversion will be provided via Sherborne Road, Birchfield Road and Stockport Road. This Order will come into operation on the 13 August 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
